EDITORIAL POLICIES

PEER REVIEW PROCESS

The Internal Auditing & Risk Management Journal places great emphasis on the quality of the papers it publishes.  Following Editorial recommendation, papers are submitted to a double-blind review process before publication. As a result of the technical review process, a manuscript may be accepted without change, recommended for modification and further review, or rejected.

Commentary by reviewers will be summarized and sent by email to authors, who can choose to revise their papers in line with these remarks. Re-submitted papers should be accompanied by descriptions of the changes so that the desk-editor can easily see where changes have been made.

The Editor reserves the right to reject papers that, in the view of the editorial board, are either of insufficient quality, or are not relevant enough to the subject area.

The reviewers will evaluate the submitted papers according to the following criteria: originality, scientific significance, relevance to the journal presentation, linguistic quality. Manuscripts currently under peer review may not be submitted to another journal. The manuscripts in which plagiarism is detected will be rejected.

Reviewers have the right to identify relevant published work that has not been cited in the manuscript by authors. The Editor selects the reviewers and makes the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript.
